O' FATHER WHO ART WITH DIAPERS (A FATHER'S DAY POEM)

O' FATHER WHO ART WITH DIAPERS
a post-modern poem
by azly rahman

O' father who art with diapers
and some now in diapers ...
you are but a Mother
Can't give birth thou
but same role thine play in times as now

O' father who art to be remembered
as a great man whose role is reversible as gender
that you are as mighty as my Mother
a Father of Inventions
as Frank Zappa's Mother of Inventions

Thine role is heavenly
changing diapers awkwardly
chasing children endlessly
whilst society laughed at thee
in a world where Man can now get pregnant
and women work out in gyms trying to look like
Arnold Schwazenegger with the face of England's queen

O' father who art in diapers
thine is blessed
with the gift of making faces at babies
to look like Moe, Larry, and Curly of the Three stooges nothing less
Such a fine art of making babies puke at times if not done correctly
O' father you are a gift of this Universe
Mothers can argue but has refused to admit in fear of the loss of monopoly

O' father who will one day be in big diapers
and go to the toilet so often and not no more be a happy camper
be there for the children
from diaper to diaper
from the cradle to the grave
from out of the womb to thine's children Labour waiting room
from dust to dust
from ashes to ashes
from here till eternity
remembered well for a job done well with Love
to raise children with the glories of Ethics, Creativity, and Critical Sensibility

O' father who was in diapers
who art now holding diapers
who will be in diapers

Chill out all fathers out there yo'
The art of fatherhood too
is a science of the gangsta!
