.. this is an example of blatant discrimination and social reproduction. what the government is saying is this: let the kampong kids be left with their limited success, so that they may be just a little literate to think only in malay, and let those in "selected all-bumiputra schools" be groomed to be good in english to become mono-party-abiding citizen.

why do we have policymakers in education blatantly creating this sort of apartheid in education?
i have written quite a lot these past few years on the issue of "mrsm system as successful failure". this has to change. teach all subjects, except bahasa melayu, in english! i have maintained this stand for a long time:
