On Malaysian election dates and the New York lottery

O' Malaysians ... why must your elections date be a mystery
only known to the ruling party?
a mystery since then till eternity?
what game must you play in a system you gleefully call democracy?
why can't you learn from the American idea of nominations and primaries?
and be a bit more civil in exercising fundamental liberties?
as we grow older and Independence calls for politics to be more sober
wh...y can't you folks get rid of this game of "guess-the-election-date" that is making our yawn grow louder?
or why not have a fatwa on this game and make it sinful to have elections that is not quite truthful?
O' Malaysians .. you are old enough to demand that a leader need not stay in power that long
so that he or she will not be tempted to do all kinds of wrong
you need to have them stay for only tow terms of five years the max
so that the rakyat will not be bought and sold like a bag of potatoes in a gunny sack
Do away with these mysteries of elections dates we are nauseated to a large degree ...
Don't just get ready at your whims and fancies
Ready to roll only when your machinery's ready
That will not be cool for a democracy
Unless one plans for a mandate of piracy
