O' Lovely Rose

O' Lovely Rose
byAzly Rahman

in the rose should lie
beauty
mystery
serenity
paradox of a world
detached
from the ugliness
of the spilling of the blood
from the thorns of the rose they guard jealously
in my garden i saw
the beauty of the rose
i spoke of its beauty incessantly
whispered in it the vanity it should possess
as it traverse the path to self-adoration in excess
O' rose what are you but a mere redness
of the lushness of the lustfulness of a world framed by the invisible hands of destiny and free will in chaos, in concert, but never in concord
O' rose of a memory etched in a garandiose of a ballroom of souls dancing
in flames of the faith
of the fragrance of a fallacy of yet another falsehood
You are
O' rose
another mona lisa in a world gone mad
manicured by dainty hands of destruction
designed by the deities
of yet another falsehood fragranced by scripts and verses of love in all its glorious violence
in a rose should lie
a symphony of passion
of an eternal flame
that wrapped its warmth and tenderness
like a lover's embrace
of a union of flames
immersed in a flowing river reunited at last
reunited in tears like raindrops in an early morn'
of a tempestuous noon coming
O' rose
inside of you lies
layers of mystery
like the seven heavens
of a canopy you are
reigning supreme
showering souls below
with the redness
lushness
of your grace
so that each soul may love
blood in their hands
in their souls
in their hearts
they may have
in battling the thorns like barbed wires of eternity
guarding that one rose
in my garden
Vanity now vanishing
Detachment become union
a rose is no longer a rose by whatever name
