From a dream

 From a dream
woke up from a dream
in which i am asked to create
a new genre in fiction writing
and to push this movement to its final conclusion ...
i have written in my sleep ...
...
countless times ...
the hands writes and writes ...
only the quill and the parchment i could see ...
words and words become dissertations
and exhausted i stopped at times and wakes up
to see a world of illusion ...
and continue the thoughts i left off in my dreams
and into the cybernetic world i transpose
the ideas in the parchment
into the pastures of digital spirituality
i have become
merely words
my entire beingness has become the will
of the Author of Things
to write anything
even if i tremble at what i have written
for they come from my dreams
they become flesh
becomes thoughts
becomes ideas
break walls
storm bastilles
destroy
create
destroy
like shiva vishnu brahma
like the sword with those two verses
of a rubaiyat of the self
so powerful
that cuts across the seven heavens
as they collapses in the seven hells
i write and write
until night comes
another dream another revelation
illusion of whirling and whirling like a derwish
of the dance of shiva
another new thought
for a new genre
i have become
the quill and the parchment

in one
only that

For Wintermute, those university students holding demonstrations on campus asking for more academic freedom, are also a bunch of Marxists--well, whether or not he/she understands what that term(Marxism) means is not at all important, as long as it can instill fears in you.

Wintermute,

The most dangerous activity in my country is the authority's continuous engagement in: firstly, closing down its people's minds, and subsequently, churning out those closed minds into its society.

Wintermute,

You're quite right in saying that. My country was more advanced, in terms of socio-economic development, and in terms of standard of education as well, than many other countries prior to and during the early days of its independence. It was more advanced than South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan..just to name a few; as we know today it's no longer the case. What makes it so ?

Sorry, I mean "shine", not "shone".

Thanks Wintermute !

But the claim, "Diversity is chaos" seems hard to hold water if we consider USA as a prime example of a country characterized by diversity--in terms of its many ethnicities, cultures, languages..etc.

In many instances during the course of its history USA even deliberately 'imported' diverse composition of immigrants to its country. And this policy of "adding flavor" is even more prominent when the country is experiencing slower economic growths ( as a way to rejuvenate its economy.)
Of course not every part of the country is equally diverse. But the important fact is: the more diverse the place is, the more vibrant its economic, cultural and intellectual activities are: California and New York, especially. It seems, "Diversity is Strength" is not a myth after all.

By the way, "chaos" is a term we use to describe a particular state of affairs or situation at hand from which we are unable to, or have not been able to, find order. The fault is often in us ourselves, who lack the ability to make of the situation; and not totally in the situation itself. When I look up, I see chaos in the sky. But to the astronomers, they see orders even in the outer space.
