I have over the last (5) years, making intrusions in our tabika, primary and secondary schools in johor Bahru I could observe the differing methods the headmasters deployed in administering teaching and other activities. It is my opinion that our schools are grossly under funded and the directing staff are forced even to bridge the gaps from their meager income. Now the M.O.E is going to feign ignorance at my comment as evidently the Minister does not bother perusing nor does his staff for that matter, the blog of one of the most wholesome and holistic educator of our times.

Our second education minister says that our students are below. It is only a stupid person who will make such a statement. He fails to recognise that it is our failed education policy which has ruined the lives of many students past, present and future.

I am in my mid-50's. I had my career in Multi-National Companies. 20-30 years, I met professionals from all over, USA, England, Germany, France, Japan etc. They are always impressed with the calibers of young Malaysians professionals then.

However, in the past 10 years, although not directly saying out, I could sense their disappointments with our current young professionals.

How did we degenerated?

I recalled during the 70's, our universities esp MU is well regarded, at par or better with the top university of of neighbor down south. Today, we are far below. Why?

Politics in education. Our politicians with "dubious" agenda caused our downfall. Instead of excellence in education, they only caters for the self interest of the ruling party. Today, they continue to be blinded by their self interest and arrogance while our future generation suffers.
