MALAYSIA'S NOW WORLD FAMOUS "TOILET TEACHERS"

MALAYSIA'S "TOILET-TEACHERS" ...

i suppose Malaysians are seeing the birth of teacher-administators who take pride in turning toilets into lunchrooms. what a good sense of judgement these people have after those years of teacher-administrator trainings in basic school administration. a toilet is a toilet ... can't turn that into a meditation room, or a cafetaria ...

it's basic semiotics of eating. not enough space? put up a tent and if it's fasting month by all means let those not fasting eat with dignity. simple logic, basic ethics.

in the month ramadhan in a multicultural society, there is no reason to close the cafeteria or any restaurant for that matter. those who need to eat shall eat. children need to eat and drink especially when they are not yet required to fast. if people are known to go to war during ramadhan, why not as simple as fighting the temptation of seeing others eat?

schools administrators are getting ridiculous, especially those who are not trained in cultural, religious, or basic sensitivity .. or maybe some of them did not get a good and proper "toilet training"; parents did not tell them that a toilet or a tandas or a "jamban" is just for that -- for answering the call of Nature in a modern way! there is even a modern saying that you can't sh*t in the place that you eat! ... would teachers in that school eat in that school toilet? now that school is world-famous for the art of space-saving ingenuity. philosophy of pristine pedagogy ....

see why parents must continue to revolt against all these stupidities and demand these administrators resign and teacher education be revamped? too much i have digested stories of teachers who don't know how to teach, and school leaders who who think children are a bunch of sheep ....

How dare they want to eat when we are fasting! What else they want?

In reply to annonymous above. If you do not wish to eat no one forces you to but please pretty please do not impose your believes on someone else. This is call respect.

Hi Doc. Azly,

How I wish there are more like minded people like you here in Malaysia.

Ever thought of translating your work into BM?

I think you should.

Hi There,

This is a test of your true faith. If your faith is strong it would be unshakeable irrespective of what other does.

I'm sad to see the retrogression of the profession of Malaysian teachers, could it be to much of protectionism or are we scraping the barel. What next?
