O' Romance
by azly rahman
the frozen lake
becometh a blanketh
that warms the indifference
of our promises
tender is our love
like a berlin wall
you longed for me
O' Romance
a forbidden city you are
a singularity
of the infinite you have become
leaving me cold as the evening sun
in that coldest winter
when the stars a moment's gone wild
when each brick in the wall
whispered to me of the love we once knew
when the towers of
hope springing eternal
crumble to the shores of the evening sky
you were no longer there
to witness my thousand dreams unfold
each telling a story
that ended in a beginning we are yet to see
O' Romance
what hath possessed thee?
i will become the eyes that can never see you
as you becometh the changing seasons
of frozen lakes
and falling leaves
and summer breeze
as you bathe in the sea
of clouds meandering across the universe
serenaded by the newtonian spheres
that play the reed
at every turn of the century
of our longingness
O' Romance
i shall now be in silence
as tears crumble your walls
paving ways for the roses to climb
till death again
a million deaths
do us part
