There goes our favourite team Arsenal?

BACKGROUND:

Arsenal Football Club has just signed (26th February) a sponsorship deal to promote Israel as a tourist destination.

The £350,000 agreement makes Israel Arsenal's "official and exclusive travel destination." Israel will be featured on digital perimeter boards and 450 high-definition LCD screens at the stadium on game days.[1] The tourism ministry will also have access to the club's official website Arsenal.com, database and magazine to promote Israel as a holiday destination [2]

The televised ads will reach audiences of up to 700 million in an estimated 198 countries. The Israeli Tourism Ministry will also receive intellectual property rights, the use of the team logo and the right to use photos of the team and its players in ads. For an additional fee, Arsenal players will also appear in the ads.[3]

The deal doesn't stop with promoting Israel but actually grants Israel a physical presence in the stadium. The Israeli Tourism Ministry can use the stadium's banquet hall twice a year and can organize an exhibition at the end of the playing season.[3] The stadium will also feature permanent sales tables for t-shirts.[4]

The two-year sponsorship deal begins at the start of next football season in six months' time.

With the world boycotting Israel as a tourist destination Israeli tourism minister Abraham Hirchson admitted employing Ernst & Young financial advisers to help develop a new strategy to entice people to Israel. He estimated that the sponsorship deal will bring in an additional 2 million tourist to Israel annually.[3]

Arsenal's managing director, Keith Edelman at a press conference in Israel explained how Arsenal could help sell apartheid Israel: "We are the largest club in London and have 30 million fans around the world. We are in the forefront of the anti-racism campaign in England and have an excellent brand that can promote any product... we will assist Israel become a more popular destination". He also promised "when we find the time, club representatives and players will come to visit Israel,".[3]

Israeli snipers targeted him from inside a military bunker on a hill overlooking
the patch of dirt which was his football field near Khan Younis.[5]

The Jerusalem Post has hinted that Arsenal's chief shareholder, Danny Fiszman, vice chairman David Dein and managing director Edelman have used their Jewish backgrounds to steer the club towards Israeli causes including setting up football academies in Israel [3] at a time when when Palestinian children are routinely targeted by israeli snipers whilst they play football.[5]

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz confirmed this, quoting Uzi Gafni, a director of the Israeli Tourism ministry on the Arsenal deal as saying "I knew I needed someone with ties to Judaism, Edelman may not go to synagogue every Friday, but there are warm Jews at Arsenal who wanted to give something to Israel.".[6]

So, what's your beef?

Arsenal & Tottenham Spurs have long (more than 50 years)had a Jewish presence in its ownership, management and fan support in North London.

You don't like it, don't support them or watch them on telly. UK is not Malysia where cowards can issue undemocratic Fitnah to wish away your likes and dislikes.

And this time around, it was Hamas who started it, and if the Israeli response is a tad too much for their liking, go suck a lollipop!!

Opps, sorry, I meant Fatwa, not Fitnah.

You see how many malysians have been brainwashed by the zionist agenda? This should be a lesson to all the muslims in this country. Why are we fighting over politics in our country when these non-muslims here are just waiting to take advantage of us at our weakest. While we bicker and fight over to implement hudud this and that, The zionist supply our southern neighbor with drones and weapons, train their pilots etc. Not to mention that almost half of Malaysia is on their side. I have not seen a single non muslim malaysian voice support for Palestinians in the face of zionist atrocities.

The issue isnt if Hamas started by firing the rockets. The rocket firing were common occurance even before the truce. The zionist started it by seizing the land in 48. The issue at hand is the dispropotionate use of force to annihilate the other weaker opponent. This is not an eye for an eye. In fact the zionists respect none of the 10 comandment Moses brought down in their pursuit of Jewish superiority over their neighbors. Besides, I was under the impression that the US has supplied them with anti missile defense shield. So why the big military respose? It is no surprise that this was well planned during the 6 month truce. They are just waiting for an excuse to bomb and murder, especially in the transition political period in the US govt. It always have to be more muslim lives killed for a single zionist life. And also to let of steam for mumbai.

As Palestinians lay dying, ignorant malaysians and impotent leaders celebrate new year with fireworks, sex party, etc to usher in a new year. What has 2009 have for us or the Palestinians if not more bloodshed at the hands of these zionists. What is there to celebrate?

Tamerlane, talk about being brainwashed!!

Go look at the mirror la.

Disproportionate use of force? Adui, maybe Israel should follow seven moderate recommendations by Victor Davis Hanson? Will that satisfy you?

1) Request that 50% of Israel's air-to-ground missiles be duds to ensure greater proportionality.

2) Allow Hamas another 1,000 free rocket launches to see if they can catch up with the body count.

3) Have Israeli soldiers congregate in border barracks so that Hamas's random rockets have a better chance of killing military personnel, to ensure it can claim at least a few military targets.

4) Redefine "holocaust" to refer to deaths of terrorists in numbers under 400 to give greater credence to Hamas's current claims.

5) In the interest of fairness, allow Hamas to establish both the date that war is supposed to begin and the date when it must end.

6) Send Israeli military advisers to Hamas to improve the accuracy of their missiles.

7) Take down the barriers to return to Hamas a fair chance of getting suicide bombers back inside Israel.

++++

Israel is the only democracy in that region. So who is being brainwashed now?

well puteri, i seem to see your ugly face in that mirror. When did i even question the zionist democracy? Nevertheless, Is democracy the solution to any conflict? Was Hamas not elected by the palestionians to be their voice and representative? This is not a question of democracy but rather the use of might to settle a conflict and to justify anything by that means. Might makes right. If i belong to a gang of thugs and every now and then we get together and select who will lead us, will that make any difference to my victims? You have belittled my points but have failed to discredit all the arguments put forth regarding the issues at hand.

I can understand such comments coming from a non malay cause you've always hated anything muslim. And if it comes from my fellow malays, then i will have to congratulate you for being the first muslim zionist. Make sure you kiss those overlapping triangles before going to bed. Nitey nitey

if a muslims supports the creation of a Palestinian country or stand up against zionist attorcities its labeled as TERORIST, ANTI-SEMITE, BIGOT, ETC.

How do you think the zionist got hold of the land if not through monetary and arms support by other jews and zionists of the west. If an arms dealer supplies Israel, he gets a presidential pardon. If a muslim supplies the other side, he is part of a a terrosist network. ha ha ha. What hypocrites

This is what i termn as mindfucked aka brainwashed.

Before the Native americans were "honored" with their image on the buffalo nickel or named for famous american weapons, they were termed SAVAGES, the terrorist of their time. The zionists goal is to exterminate and defeat all palestinian resistance and hope in this manner so they will end up like the Indians. No living language, no country, no full blooded indians, thrown in some fucked up reservation with alcohol addiction, no longer practising their religion, Can only be seen in hollywood movies (played by white actors) or at pow wows. No only that they have 2b totally defeated, even after death their graves can be dug up so bush's granpa can kiss geronimos skull as his souvenir of a defeated enemy.Broken people on a trail of tears. Totally fucked!

matter of time b4 the zionist dig up arafat or descrate his grave like what happen to Qassam.
