I am suprised that Mathias Chiang, the footman for Mahathir Mohamed-the towel bearer at functions for the almighty suggests that the argumenst lead by the eminent lead counsels for Malaysia both international and local were short of negligent and poor in quality in advancing Malaysia's claim.
Obviously , he was told to say so which he did dutifully as usual.If he managed to raed all submissions of both countries and the final award, he would see that the decision was correct looking back at international law, past practice, history, custom inter alia.
But that he has failed to see.In eny event I doubt very much that Mathias Chiang who is not qualified in International Law, let alone domestic Malaysia law with regards to litigation has an authority to speak on the subject or pass judgement. As usual he is an opportunist who in the 1980 was condemning the very Mahathir Mohamed, the one he now kow tows to without any principles but reasons of monetray concern!
