DATA: Video clip, Our Gang/Little Rascals "The kid from Borneo"
Consider the representation of a man from Borneo (East Malaysia) as constructed by Hollywood. This is from one of my favourite television series of all time, "Our Gang"/"The Little Rascals". Apply Edward Said's idea of the construction of images of people of far-away lands and determine the "anthropological perspective" that informs the production of this genre of moving images.
This is to be an item for the archive of my research on media representation of a foreign culture. You are welcome to write ethnographic notes/viewer's comments that will help me gather data for a kaleidoscopic view of this theme of inquiry. Enjoy the show!

The best example of media (mis)representaion of a foreign culture is in the USA, viz., the Jewish media's perpetual anti-White Christian animus.
